What is operation green light?

Operation Green Light helps and assists Florida residents who have outstanding traffic tickets or criminal fines with suspended licenses to complete an online application, a personal visit or a phone call with a convenient payment plan option that allows them to have their suspended driver’s license reinstated once all conditions are met.

This operation was opened exclusively to prevent people from having to physically visit the offices to resolve their situation. According to the Florida Clerk’s offices, this online event for the year 2022 will take place between March 26 and April 9 and is designed to achieve and assist anyone in resolving their situation through different ways depending on the county of residence.

Before taking this step, first check the status of your driver’s license.

How to check to see if your driver’s license is suspended?

You can verify the status of your driver’s license easily online by visiting this link from “flhsmv” (Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles) to find out right away if your license is actually suspended or still valid.

Just enter your driver’s license number to find out.
If valid: It means that everything is fine, that all information and payments already requested by your official agency are received when your license has been suspended and your record is clean since the day you opened your status.
If suspended: You will see why depending on your situation.

To set up your suspended license, simply visit your clerk office page during the weeks of March 26th to April 9th to submit your application. Otherwise, it will be by phone or in person.

The required documents and information to have in place are: Your last name/first name, phone number, date of birth, case number, citation number and attach any documents to submit payment for your traffic tickets or criminal fines.
